The Fuzzbender contains a silicon transistor in the first stage selected for optimum gain, this ensures the circuit is stable and cleans up well with adjustment of the guitars volume pot. The second stage has both a silicon and a germanium transistor resulting in stability and classic tone. The design of the Fuzzbender also includes a power filter to keep noise and interference to a minimum, reverse power polarity and over voltage protection keeps the obsolete and expensive germanium transistor safe.
