The Bluewhale K-O-T is a dual overdrive, it is similar in design to a King of Tone pedal, there are internal switches allowing the user to select soft clipping, hard clipping or no clipping diodes. My preference and the way these pedals are shipped is no clipping on stage 1 and soft clipping on stage 2, so using stage 1 as a drive to push stage 2 but set the thing up anyway you like, this pedal offers plenty of scope for you to find your tone. There is also an internal power circuit which generates a 18 volt power supply for the op amps from the 9volt input, the power input is protected from reverse polarity power connection and over voltage connections, 9 volt power supply only. Inside you will also find a two small pots which adjust presence for each channel, you can see all this in the picture of the pedals internals.
